lyrics

Each night that I disappear, my vision finds familiar trees
That's how I came to be a yawning blinds enemy
It's been six months now, maybe more
That I've given myself the name of Deadbolt Connoisseur

Compunction set in in the newborn days
But I wasn't about to slay my grizzled ways
A slave to the depraved, my crosses were no such form
I could no longer remember her particular warmth

And as the faces swam, so grew the hate
Yet my cowardice perpetually hissed to wait
These proclivities had all gotten far too far down the line
But sentimentality always drowned in wine

It's been ten months now, maybe more
That I've given myself the name of Deadbolt Connoisseur

This groaning foreboding is owning my soul
And I know it, the moment of measures is close
There's a weight on my mind of an unearthly kind
And The Advent is closer and closer and closer and closer in time
